From the beginning tea has been a drink that is shared with others. Around the world, at low or high tea in England and age-old ceremonies in Japan, tea is brewed and taken together with friends and family in rituals of hospitality and nourishment for both body and soul. Tea is reputed to be the second most popular drink in the world (water is first); it is also thought to be one of the healthiest. And in the United States, tea is more popular than ever today.

Enjoying tea at SOAKOLOGY Foot Sanctuary and Teahouse is relaxing, restorative, invigorating, and even good for you.

Many teas are believed to aid in digestion, especially Red and Herbal teas, which also have stomach soothing properties. Among the most nutritious teas, fortified with vitamins and minerals, are Red and Mate teas. Oolong, Mate and Pu-er teas can aid in reducing fat and cholesterol or help suppress the appetite and curb cravings. Cold or sore throat symptoms can be relieved and soothed or possibly even suppressed by many Herbal and Green teas. Tea, particularly Green and White, contain antioxidants, which help enhance the immune system and increase longevity.

Conclusion...
Tea not only tastes good; it's good for you.

At SOAKOLOGY Foot Sanctuary and Teahouse tea is used not only as a healthful drink, but also as a base for many of the salad dressings, in cooking, and in baking. Many of the treatments in the Foot Sanctuary spa and Apothecary line combine teas and herbs for their therapeutic qualities. We enjoy helping our clients find the perfect tea to suit their needs whether they sip during a visit in the Teahouse Cafe or take it home by the ounce.

The art of tea is a delicious and intoxicating experience!
